Supply Chain Analyst

SUMMARY:

This is a hands-on position utilizing quantitative and analytical methods in reviewing and being responsible for demand plan and inventory plans that will enable Diamond Foods to meet sales and service objectives. Collaboration with other members of the supply chain, sales, marketing and customer support teams is paramount to achieve these objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Analyze sales forecast and actual sales for changes in demand and market trends.
• Recommend inventory goals for brand transitions, new product introductions and promotions.
• Coordinate inventory goals with inventory planners, production schedulers and purchasing.
• Review new business notifications for inventory and timing and direct customer service with order management.
• Track sales for new product launches and promotions and feed demand to schedulers and inventory planners
• Review open orders and inventory levels daily and direct customer service with order management.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor of Science degree a plus.
• Three to five years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, familiar with logistics and production planning concepts.
• Data analysis and manipulation aptitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving skills, critical thinking and decision making.
• Must posses presentation skills, organizational skills and be able to multi-task.
• Strong computer skills.
• Comfortable working with individuals at all organizational levels.
